Hannah+Ellis=Engaged!

My husband and I were recently the photographers for a Brides Against Breast Cancer Charity gown sale here in the Kansas City area. We had a booth set up and I took pictures of the event. My husband met Hannah at our booth and after e-mailing back and forth for a couple of months and planning a date we finally were able to do their engagement session. Ellis is in the military so he was planning on wearing his uniform for some of the pictures. Just before going off to basic training a few years ago he got her a German Shepherd puppy for a companion and when she got older as a protector for while he was out of town. They wanted to include Miss Sadie in their engagement pictures. I love dogs so I was more then willing to work with their dog! The pictures turned out stunning! And the ones of Sadie are just to adorable, Thank you Hannah & Ellis! Congratulations on your engagement!

Kyle+Katrina=Married!

A couple of months ago I got a phone call from a father who was looking for a wedding photographer for his daughter's wedding. He had been looking around and never found one he felt like he was supposed to hire and then his wife stumbled on my website via a Google search. They liked the pictures, like the prices and really liked what I said in my About Me section. So they called me, after a couple of phone calls back and forth we scheduled a consult where I was able to meet his wife, daughter and her fiance. What a great family! They told me the story of how the girls father was teaching a Sunday school class and the groom to be had started attending the class and would sit right in front and really listen and hang onto every word her father taught. This really impressed the father, shortly after the young man told her father his intentions of courtship and asked for her fathers blessing. What a great story! I love stories of couples that follow God's plan for marriage and honor her family while doing it. Here are some of their pictures from their wedding and since I'm lazy I'm just going to post their DVD montage, it has all the highlights in it. :)

Congratulations and may God greatly bless your marriage!

Tim+Rebecca=Married

I had the pleasure of meeting Tim & Rebecca back in Jan to discuss being their wedding photographer. After viewing my portfolio and discussing their special day they decided we were the one for them. Along with their quote for their wedding I included an engagement session. Since Tim was a truck driver who now owns his own trucking company and since they had their first date at a truck stop we decided it would be fun to do pictures at a truck stop for their engagement session. The pictures turned out great! About a month later it was time for their wedding!

A small country/rustic wedding in her parents back garden that includes a creek with a nice bridge crossing into the garden area where they had built a gazebo. Of course the owner of a trucking company had to have several of his drivers (and their trucks) at the wedding. All washed and polished for pictures! There were so many little details in the wedding, we tried to capture it all with our photography.

The bride and groom and family were amazing to work with, both my husband (second shooter) and myself enjoyed working with this family and loved seeing the final outcome of their images.

Thank you Tim and Rebecca for making us a part of your wonderful day! It was beautiful!

Senior/Graduation Session

I met this nice young man at La Benate Park in MO. He likes being down by the river and hanging out with his friends and he thought this would be a good place for his Senior/Graduation Pictures. Since he is about to graduate we did several poses with his cap and gown. His mom was worried about getting the "real" smile out of him. But since it was just him, myself and my husband we got along great and he was smiling and having a fun time. Even if the breeze coming off the river was rather cold.... Brrr still was a beautiful day for a photo session!
